And, their patience bore fruits, eventually, when Rodgers let it slip through. However, recently, social media has been going abuzz with something that happened just before the big announcement. What did the QB text to his dear friend?

Pat informed the NFL world in Thursday’s show that the viewers were right to expect things to go down as Rodgers had texted the former Colts punter about his intentions to reveal the truth yesterday. And frankly, fans have had enough of this A-Rod discussion.

And looks as though the Super Bowl XLV MVP was all ready to be in attack mode. According to McAfee, the former Packers No 12 texted him hours before coming on. “I think it’s time to let the world know what’s going on,” the text read, as per Dov Kleiman’s tweet.

However, it seems fans are done with all the Rodgers drama.

According to the reactions from fans across, McAfee can expect the A-Rod hype to die as he all but confirmed the reports that had been hanging for over a month.

What’s holding up the official announcement?

Well, according to former ESPN Radio host Trey Wingo and Rodgers himself, it’s not the quarterback’s dilemma that is holding up the trade confirmation. It’s the compensation negotiations that are ongoing between the Green Bay Packers and Woody Johnson’s Jets.
