More and more quarterbacks are being offered new contracts. Those new deals are resulting in quarterbacks earning more than Mahomes on an annual basis. As a result, it is fair to say that the Kansas City Chiefs did well with the Mahomes contract.
Patrick Mahomes isn’t bothered by other quarterbacks earning more than him. He believes he is settled for life with his contract. Talking about it, Mahomes said, “When I signed my deal, I knew I was going to be pretty set for life, regardless of what the market kind of happens.”
He added, “But you just keep playing. Money is one thing, but when you get those Super Bowl rings, at the end of your career, I think that’s going to be what you look back upon. I think I’ve made enough money from the football field and obviously off of it as well, that it won’t matter at the end of the day.”
Mahomes is an icon in America. He can secure numerous deals off the field. They will help him stay wealthy for a very long time. Due to it, he isn’t bothered by what other QBs earn.
