Patrick Mahomes once again proves that he is the player of the people. Helping young kinds and fulfilling their wishes is another one of Kansas City Chiefs QB’s endeavors. In ESPN’s returning ‘My Wish’ series, Mahomes meets up with a 12-year-old girl, and she got a chance to practice with him. It’s a feel-good story in which Mahomes tries to cheer up a girl who went through a life-altering condition.

The young girl, Myka Eilers from California, underwent two open heart surgeries. The surgeries were meant to correct the narrowing of her pulmonary artery and valve when she was barely a year old. But, throughout her life, she faced the illness with extreme courage and determination to get better. Now, the Mahomes is doing his part.

Myka Eilers dreams of being a quarterback in the NFL one day, and Mahomes brought her a step closer. Moreover, she idolises the Chief’s QB and desires to be like him. In addition, she visits Kansas City to meet her idol at Arrowhead Stadium during the feature of ‘My Wish’.

This is the 15 season of ‘My Wish’ on ESPN. Further, the feature show airs after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19. Patrick Mahomes appears in one of the four features, helping the young girl fulfil her wish before he prepares himself for the upcoming season.

In the show, Myka Eilers got the chance to be coached by Mahomes on the field and in the film room. Additionally, the show also features a cameo appearance by Chiefs TE Travis Kelce. He grabs a pass thrown by Eilers at the team practice facility in the Arrowhead stadium.

Patrick Mahomes and Myka Eilers joined forces to encourage the young girl to get closer to playing in the NFL. One day, she hopes to become a pro; by the looks of it, Mahomes would be her biggest supporter.

With the next season around the corner and Mahomes set to welcome his second child, he is hoping to have a cracker season. But, rest assured, his humble side is still the same as he helps the young girl have a good game of football and persona coaching from the Super Bowl winner himself. This cute gesture by Mahomes gave the brave child a memory she will cherish all her life.
