

Patrick Mahomes was born into the family of an MLB player. He has played baseball since he was a child. Even though he opted to play football, he was still quite good at baseball.

Recently, a long-time friend of Mahomes named Jake Parker shared a picture of the two from 14 years ago on an Instagram story. They were both playing for Tyler East and did well during that game.
The picture shared by his friend refreshed the memory of Mahomes. They are on different paths in life now but have remained close to each other. Patrick Mahomes was pretty good at baseball. During the 2010 Junior League World Series, he played as a shortstop. The Mahomes team was the runner-up in the tournament.

Later in his high school days, he used to play as a pitcher as well. It’s fair to say Mahomes could do it all on the diamond as a 2-way player. The Detroit Tigers even drafted him in the 37th round of the 2014 MLB Draft. Mahomes instead opted to play football for Texas Tech and did well there.
Patrick Mahomes has a tough challenge ahead of him
The Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes will have a tough road in the upcoming season. After losing their best receiver in Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs face a similar issue with Orlando Brown Jr.

The team and Brown Jr. haven’t been able to reach an agreement point in contract negotiations. They’ll hope that it will get resolved soon; otherwise, the Chiefs might be in a lot of trouble. They are already a part of the toughest division in football, and any slip-up could lead to missing out on the playoffs.

Patrick Mahomes will have an opportunity to show the world that he can succeed without Tyreek Hill. The journey ahead will be tough, but Mahomes loves to take on challenges like these.
