Last season, Mahomes sustained an ankle injury when a player from Jacksonville Jaguars accidentally landed on it during a game. Since then, he has been diligently managing the injury and focusing on recovering his mobility. While he hasn’t fully healed and experiences occasional soreness, Mahomes has not faced significant limitations in his training. He has been determined to push himself and make progress despite the injury.

Despite Mahomes’ absence from off-season training, Rashee Rice, a rookie wide receiver selected by the Chiefs in the second round, has stepped in to fill the gap. Rice looks fantastic in his new uniform, sporting the number 4. Interestingly, in the same video clip, a player resembled Mahomes during gameplay. This similarity got Chiefs fans even more excited, as he wore the number 15 jersey, which is the same as their star quarterback Mahomes.

“Right now, it’s been more about managing it and getting the mobility back as best I can,” Mahomes gave an update, per Fox Sports. “I haven’t had any limitations, but I wouldn’t say I’m 100 percent. You want to make sure you’re still building. I feel like we’ve done a good job of pushing it to the limit. You might be a little sore on the weekend,” he added.
