Dan Snyder is exploring options to sell the Commanders

According to Forbes, the Commanders’ current worth is around $5.6 billion. If Snyder sells the NFL team, this would make the Commanders the most expensive sports team in history. However, the representatives of both Bank of America and the Washington-based team refused to make a comment about the possible purchase of the team.

Notably, Rob Walton and his family bought the Denver Broncos team for a record $4.6 billion in August. At that time, it was the most expensive North American football team in history. Now, it seems like Washington will break that record.

After Snyder and his family gained full control of the Commanders in March 2021, the value of the team increased significantly. Interestingly, the Commanders had only 3 owners since joining the league back in 1932 and Snyder was at the helm for the last 23 years. As the owner of the Franchise, he endured many controversies. Many former workers called the franchise a toxic place to work.
