‘Still Kinda Fresh’- Kenny Golladay Looking Forward to Daniel Jones Union

Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay signed a big-money deal with the New York Giants over the weekend. He signed a 4-year, $72 million contract with the Joe Judge-coached franchise after entering free agency this month.

He was a 3rd-round pick by the Lions in 2017 and led the NFL in receiving touchdowns 2 years ago. The 27-year-old will now wear the iconic blue, white, and red jersey of the Giants for the next 4 years at least.

Golladay featured in just 5 games for the Lions last season, with 338 receiving yards and 2 receiving touchdowns. He will link-up with the likes of Golden Tate, Saquon Barkley, and young quarterback Daniel Jones in the coming weeks.

The latest New York Giants signing Kenny Golladay is the hot talking point in the Big Apple this weekend. But one of the things that the former Northern Illinois man is looking forward to is playing alongside the 23-year-old quarterback Daniel Jones.

“[Jones] is still kind of fresh in the league, a little bit. I kinda wanna grow with him. I’m still growing as a player, and I feel like me and him can do some good things.

“We haven’t gotten on the practice field yet, but, me and him both are very excited,” Golladay said via NorthJersey.com.

Jones concluded the 2020 NFL season with 2,943 and 11 passing touchdowns against 10 interceptions. He has shown flashes of brilliance in recent years, but the arrival of a player with Golladay’s skill-set will definitely serve as a major plus point.

Coach Judge led the Giants to a 2nd-place finish in the NFC East with a 6-10 record last season. They’ve made some strong signings in the last couple of weeks and also own the 11th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

It will be interesting to see if the Giants move in for another quarterback or choose to bolster their wideout department when the draft starts on April 29th, 2020. Either way, it’s a great time to be a Giants fan right now. Might as well enjoy it till it lasts!
