Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are having another season to remember in 2021. Unlike last year, they’re not the underdogs. Rather, the reigning champions are favourites to go all the way and make their second consecutive Super Bowl appearance.

The Bucs are 4-1 heading into Week 6 of the season. Their most recent win came at the hands of the Miami Dolphins. Tom Brady threw for 411 yards with 5 passing touchdowns as the Bucs won by a comfortable 17-45 margin.

However, that victory came at a cost for the Super Bowl LV winners.

Following Sunday’s win in Florida, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady confirmed that he sustained a minor thumb injury. However, the 7-time Super Bowl winner was quick to assert that he expects to be fit in time for Thursday night primetime game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The 3-time NFL MVP is putting on a show for the Buccaneers fans. They will not be comfortable about taking on the Eagles without their star man. No offense to backup QBs, Blaine Gabbert and rookie Kyle Trask, but Brady is in a league of his own this year.

He has thrown for 1,767 yards with a mammoth 15 passing touchdowns in just 5 games this season. His chemistry with offensive stars Antonio Brown, Mike Evans, Leonard Fournette and Rob Gronkowski is working like a charm in 2021.

Coach Bruce Arians has given the freedom Brady needs in order to express himself while in the shotgun. The Bucs remain on track to make the playoffs. But they need to keep their focus as we approach a crucial stage of the ongoing 2021 NFL campaign.

Should they take their foot of the gas, it would give the likes of the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers to catch up and snatch a spot in post-season. Of course, TB12 won’t let it get to that point.
