The Patriots Reveal Tom Brady’s Blast From the Past With a “Wild” Update

Two decades ago, a sixth-round quarterback rookie from the New England Patriots agreed to maintain a diary that chronicled his first year for the team’s newspaper, Patriots Football Weekly. But as the huddle broke, no one had a clue that the rookie would go on to dominate the NFL league and be known as the GOAT. 

In an uninhibited revelation, the Patriots finally released glimpses from Tom Brady’s rookie year diary. As a rookie in 2000, Brady was well under the radar and even the team’s own newspaper had less to no expectations from a player who would most probably need to tackle a rough slog head-on in order to find a spot on the roster that boasted three veteran quarterbacks, including starter Drew Bledsoe.

The Patriots shared on Instagram, snippets from Tom Brady’s diary just days before they are set to honor him. The post, captioned “Tom Brady’s diary from his rookie year is wild 🤯” garnered quick attention. It was fun to get out here and get a chance to see the Hall of Fame. We’re part of the NFL now, someday we’ll be part of the tradition of the game.” the NFL legend wrote in his diary.

While it exhibited the candid side of the NFL legend, the diary is one of the first blueprints of Brady’s illustrious career. It also essays the role of giving fans an inside look into the inner workings of the Patriots as well as the camaraderie between the teammates.
