It has been almost 2 months since Tom Brady left New England Patriots and moved to Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, for some NFL fans, primarily those in Boston it hasn’t sunk in yet. Meanwhile, the country has noticed a more public Brady which has led them to remark that Brady is putting on a facade. However, an analyst presents an argument insisting that the 42-year-old is finally showing his true self.

On Undisputed, 2× Super Bowl winner Shannon Sharpe said, “Have anybody ever thought, this might be the real Tom Brady, not the guy who was suppressed and so guarded over the last 20 years.”

“Yes he was very guarded, yes he did not let a whole lot of people into his circle. But I can assure you the very people that were in his circle for the last 20 years. They still remain.”

He spoke about Brady possibly putting on a persona in New England which in itself is a very guarded team.

“The perception that they have of Tom Brady. That he’s guarded. Maybe this was him all along and maybe in the best interest of the team and show the leadership they needed to show this was the way it was supposed to be.”

Sharpe continued, “I don’t think he is different. Is he posting more now? Yes, maybe he feels he wants to save more now. Now down the road I wonder if he will have anything negative to say about the organization which he just left. Or will he say anything derogatory about coach Belichick or owner Kraft? I think down the road he’ll write a tell-all that ‘I’m disappointed that it ended the way it ended.'”

However, he dispels notions that the 42-year-old would do something like that. Furthermore, he said, “Maybe the Tom Brady we watching right now, the one that was mic’d up during the golf outing. The one that’s been posting more and more. Maybe that’s the real Tom Brady.”

What’s your take on Shannon Sharpe’s comments? Are we seeing a new Tom Brady or is this exactly who he was all along?
