Tom Brady is hitting a new low point in the 2022 NFL even after it is over for him. He and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers endured a humiliating defeat in the NFC wildcard playoff round against the Dallas Cowboys. But that game has become further embarrassing for the seven-time Super Bowl champion. Brady now faces a penalty for trying to kick an opponent during the game.

And Brady is not alone in this embarrassment. The Buccaneers center Ryan Jensen is sharing it with his quarterback.

The NFL has decided to fine legendary quarterback Tom Brady for trying to kick an opponent during the playoff loss against the Cowboys last Monday. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Brady faces a fine of $16,444 for trying to trip the Cowboys safety Malik Hooker. This is a penalty for unnecessary roughness.

The Buccaneers center Ryan Jensen has also got an unnecessary roughness fine on the same play. But he has got off a little lighter with a $8,333.33 fine.

The fines added further injury to the embarrassing defeat faced by the Buccaneers at their own home. The defeat crashed them out of the Super Bowl contention, something Brady has made a habit of winning. The QB has won seven Super Bowl rings in his long career. But he came back out of retirement to chase the eighth. Maybe next season is the one for him if he plays. He is a free agent after this season and can choose to play for a different team. But that is another conversation altogether.
