No wonder why the chiefs happen to be a disciplined team. Since getting associated with the franchise in 2013, Reid changed its entire landscape and built the side as one of the formidable units in the AFC West. One could rarely find him smiling and always looking angry with a grumpier attitude on the field. It seems there is no difference in his behavior with the players as well, who are apparently scared of him.
Andy Reid as a guest on the Kelce bros podcast?
Recently, the star Tight End Travis Kelce with his brother Jason Kelce collaborated in the latest episode of their New Heights podcast, taking suggestions from the viewers for a new guest on the show.

Without a doubt, Mahomes’ name appeared at first, to which Kelce mentioned that he would love hosting his quarterback. Instantly, fans started shooting Andy Reid on the chat section, which made both athletes insecure for a moment. Even Patrick Mahomes suggested bringing Reid as soon as the tweet took rounds on the internet. “Oh…That would be a sweep man. He’s a tough a**. It’s tough, so I can’t. I don’t know,” Travis said when the coach’s name popped up. Meanwhile, Jason asked him whether he could invite him, to which Travis looked a bit nervous.

“That’s the one where I’m like, What do I just ask? You just ask. I’m not I’m not a good asker. The guy’s busy. Jason. Okay. We just heard from Joe Thomas about what it takes to be an NFL head coach. He might be a little busy early on in the week.” He added. Soon, Jason asked Mahomes to give it a shot and request Reid for an episode, but the quarterback admitted that he was equally scared. “Not going to lie, I’m terrified as well,” Mahomes wrote.
Is Patrick Mahomes really scared of Andy Reid?
There is no second opinion on the fact that Reid happens to be a strict coach and a dad figure inside the locker room. Back when Mahomes and Reid collaborated on the state farm commercial, the quarterback admitted that he was scared initially and asked the company to seek Reid’s permission.

“I made State Farm ask him first because I was scared. Once they asked him, he kind of came to me and asked me if I wanted him to do it.” The QB recalled in one of the interviews. So, it’s safe to say players actually respect the 64-year-old head coach, who has been one of the significant figures in the NFL. His legacy is unparalleled, and that might be one of the reasons players keep him to high standards. Regardless, the season happens to be in the Chiefs‘ favor as one of the Super Bowl contenders this year.
