There is a lot of renovation going on in the Green Bay Packers right now. With about 10 injured players, the team had to deal with a lot of problems to get to this point where even a small addition to the team might work wonders. Things might be relieving for now for the whole team, especially for Jordan Love, following Aaron Jones’ return to the field after his hamstring injury.

Along with Jones, a couple of other players are back to practicing. Christian Watson is another addition to the list that might lead to some relief for the Packers as far as the offense is concerned. Pat McAfee shares his thoughts about the next game against the Detroit Lions, but he is not as enthusiastic about the situation as the fans are.

McAfee recently uploaded a video on X (Formerly Twitter) discussing the impact of Jones’ return to the Packers. He asks Lombardi about the Watson and Jones duo ahead of the Lions’ game, considering that the Lions are a favorite for the first time in 37 years. Lombardi said that the Lions have won both games in Lambeau last year. He mentions how in the first game; the Packers turned the ball over in the end zone, and in the second game, the offense wasn’t at its best.

He moves on to admit that the Packers’ offense is different this year. Lombardi mentions how the completed pass percentage should not be the only criteria to judge Jordan Love as he has made some phenomenal plays in the past. The co-host exemplifies the game against the New Orleans Saints where the Eagles made an epic comeback. He mentioned how Aaron Jones’ being back will help with moving the ball around and making some fast, explosive offensive plays. Even Jordan Love felt confident about this return and placed his trust in Aaron Jones and his abilities.

He adds how the Detroit Lions secondary should be the one to be attacked and speculates that the game will come down to a desperate field goal. These are early speculations, but the Packers still have some issues with the injured players that need to be sorted out.

The injured Packers

A lot of the Packers squad was injured and about 10 players have not been participating in the practice. Out of these 10, half of them have been participating in a limited capacity. To add to this, Christian Watson did not appear in the 2023 season due to his hamstring injury. However, he is supposed to be joining the Pack against the Lions. Apparently, Watson made some huge plays in the 2022 season after which he was put to a stop by his injury.

The Packers also missed David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins in the game against the Saints because of their injuries. Both the players already have a replacement, which has turned the Packers’ squad full of some new faces, but Jordan Love has been persevering through it till now. In addition to this, the team is also missing Zach Tom, the right tackle due to his knee injury.

The Lions are doing very well with very few numbers of injured players on the roster, at least the number is lesser than that of the Packers. Hopefully, the game against the Lions brings some good news to Love and the Pack. It remains to be seen as to what happens in the much-awaited clash.
