The Lions are at the top of the world after taking over the Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers. So much so that even Eminem was hyped about this win, and we know how hard it is to impress the Slim Shady. However, not only Eminem, but the opposition also started to look up to Jared Goff and the Co. after this game. This is the time to be alive to be a Lions fan, especially considering the kind of electric start that they have had in their regular season.

Though Jordan Love tried a lot, the Packers still lost, thanks to Jared Goff and David Montgomery’s 3 touchdowns, which single-handedly gave the Lions all the advantage. Love was in awe of their performance, and he let it out in his post-game interview.

Matt Schneidman recently tweeted something that poses a very important question. He questioned Love if the Lions are the team to beat in this division. The answer to this was very simple for Jordan Love. “Yeah, for sure.” It’s great to see this candid behavior from the Packers’ star QB, as he looks for another challenge against the Detroit Lions. Maybe next time the game happens on the Lions’ home turf, the Packers will be able to give them a taste of their own medicine.

The Packers lost on their home turf by 20-34 as they have lost two games and equally have won 2 games. This has left the Lions leading with 3 wins and a single loss. The Lions are having quite a season this year as they stand no. 1 in the NFC North Division Standing, just above the Packers. The surprising thing about this is that they have never done this sort of thing before, let alone leading the division.

The roaring Lions

From the last couple of years, six seasons to be precise, the Lions have never seen a single playoff game. The fact that they are standing at the highest position in their division is a huge deal for the team. Maybe it might motivate them further and even land them in the Playoffs this time around. They have had a solid start for sure. Not a lot of teams have a 75% win rate at the start of the season. The Lions are gunning for the playoffs the way they are playing.

Another thing to talk about is how the Lions’ defense leveled up against Jordan Love in the better half of the game. Even though the Packers really pushed themselves in the second half of the game, it was already late. If someone were to say that the Lions would make it to the Playoffs in the last season, it would have been far-fetched. But the idea of them reaching the playoffs doesn’t seem as alien now as it would have looked last year.
