When Aaron Donald hangs up his boots, he’ll go down in history as one of the most dominant players to have played the sport. The 6-time All-Pro is a tackling machine.

With 357 combined tackles, Aaron Donald is the most feared defensive linesman in the league. His performances since being drafted in 2014 recently earned him a place in the NFL’s All-Decade Team for the 2010s.

A ruthless force on the pitch, Donald has been a cornerstone for an LA Rams defense which has consistently been one of the best in the league for sometime now.

But despite being regarded by the world as a generational talent, Donald is yet to get his hand on the elusive Lombardi Trophy. The Rams led by Donald went close to winning it in 2019. But as fate would have it, Donald’s search would continue courtesy of the New England Patriots.

Still in contention for the Super Bowl, the Rams head to Packers for the Divisional Round. But there were growing fears that Donald would have to sit out the tie due to a torn rib cartilage he picked up against the Seahawks last week.

But for Rams fans, head coach Sean McVay ended up being the bearer of good news.

Aaron Donald on track for Saturday’s game

Hard as nails, Donald is doing all he can to make sure he’s ready for the game against the Packers. While the defensive tackle is still nursing the injury, he’s back in the weight room.

“You know, we’re just gonna really rest him the whole week and be as smart as possible. I mean he was just in there getting a workout in the weight room and looked like he’s feeling pretty good,” said McVay while interacting with the media.

One interesting fact is that ever since being drafted, Aaron Donald has never missed a game through injury. This is a record that looks set to stay as per head coach Sean McVay’s comments.

“So unless something unforeseen happens, the Terminator (Aaron Donald) will be ready,” he added.

Given Donald’s value to the team, McVay would never have rushed him back into the starting lineup. But with the playoffs win-or-go-home style, Donald will be ready to risk it all against the Green Bay Packers.
