Novak Djokovic also spoke about the marathon match at the Australian Open, back in 2012, against the Spaniard Rafael Nadal. In Nole’s perspective, this match stands out as one of the best matches he has ever played in his life. “The match against Nadal of the 2012 Australian Open , which lasted 6 hours- that is the one that stands out as the most exciting and formidable match in which I have ever competed”, said Novak Djokovic.

The Serb also spoke about his methods to control his emotions and be mentally strong on the court.  “I try to be aware of my breathing, because on the tennis court you are alone, you have your own area in which to find support, but everything you do on the track depends entirely on you, both the fault and the merit”, said the US Open champion.  “Distractions around you, it is important to focus on yourself being aware of your breathing and being present in the moment, it is much easier said than done. “

“High levels of stress are always a big obstacle for anyone, so I think that the greatest support for me and for all athletes and human beings is always oneself, if you can dominate yourself and control your thoughts and emotions, then you will be able to shine, “said Novak Djokovic .
