Novak Djokovic Reaches The Finals at Wimbledon Championships 2019

The first semifinal at Wimbledon, before Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, occupy the Centre Court, the defending champion, Novak Djokovic took on the 23rd seed, Roberto Bautista-Agut, who made his debut at Grand Slam semifinals.

World Number one, Novak Djokovic defeated Roberto Bautista-Agut, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 to reach the finals at Wimbledon Championships 2019. This is his sixth finals at Wimbledon and his 25th Grand Slam final of his career and a new experience for the Spanish cowboy!

In the opening set, the Serb made a start with 3-0. Bautista-Agut was already into the double-digit figures of unforced errors in the fourth game of the semifinal, but he managed to make a hold at 3-1. With Serb making quick holds and Agut continuing his unforced errors, Novak Djokovic takes the first set in 36 minutes.

The tennis followers anticipated one-way traffic in the first semifinal, but the Spaniard picked up his pace in the next set. Agut and Djokovic made comfortable holds in their opening games. Bautista-Agut slammed a forehand winner for taking a lead in the game at 30-0, a loose forehand from the top seed and Bautista-Agut’s ferocious forehand gave him, the first break of the match at 2-1.

In the third set, Novak Djokovic faced his first break point after the first set at 3-2, the top seed smashed it out after a long rally and celebrated his 4-2 lead and comfortably moved a set closer to the Wimbledon final. He led by 5-1 in the fourth, and Agut made a love hold at 5-2, and on the fifth match point, Djokovic cruised into the finals.
