‘She is the GOAT’- US Gymnastics Legend McKayla Maroney Heaps Praise on Simone Biles

Tokyo Olympics 2020 saw the unexpected withdrawal of the Olympic champion Simone Biles. While her medal count was less than her last Olympic games, she’s still one of the best.

US gymnastics legend McKayla Maroney agreed to Simone Biles being the GOAT. After having a tough year mentally and competing in the pandemic, many have appreciated Biles for her Tokyo Olympic appearance.

McKayla thinks Simone Biles is better than her at gymnastics

McKayla won her first gold medal at the London Olympics 2012. While she also clinched the silver medal in the individual vault event.

McKayla is just one year older than Biles, who is currently 24. Former USA gymnast McKayla agreed to Biles being the GOAT in conversation with TMZ Sports.

She said, ” Honestly, I do when I competed with her back in 2013 I just felt like her gymnastics was so so much better than mine. I mean, we competed with each other on vault and I was kind of head-to-head to her on that, but she blows everyone out of the water on every single event. “

Simone Biles outperforming fellow athletes is something everyone has seen at various events. The way she takes her jump into the air is an eye-pleaser to fans, while her landing is exceptional.

McKayla says Simone can do anything she wants

Because of the pandemic and the unpredictability of the games, Simone was not even clear if she would compete. Biles has dealt with a lot of struggles and encountered rough times in her personal life. Even in her professional life, she had to go through mental and physical troubles.

However, Simone Biles is called GOAT for a reason. It’s her willpower and inspiring resilience that always makes her come back from the worst.

At two consecutive Olympic Games, Biles has represented the USA and has not disappointed her nation. McKayla also commented on Biles competing in the Paris Olympics 2024. Olympic gold medalist said” If Simone wants to do it, she can do anything she is the GOAT “

At Tokyo Olympics 2020, despite her mental health issues, Biles reached the podium finish. Simone competed in the balance beam event and won the bronze medal. Her teammates stepped up in her place and clinched medals.

Although Biles’s medal tally is not what she and the world expected, her journey is heroic. Simone has inspired many athletes around the world to take care of themselves.
