“Did you see that fight against the Muay Thai guy [Rodtang Jitmuangnon]? That was sick. I love that,” noted Schulz.

Rogan responded, “Yeah, amazing—because he had to get through that first round [against] Rodtang. Yeah, [‘Mighty Mouse’] gotta go through the first round before he can do it MMA.”

The longtime MMA analyst comprehended the entire setup and said, “It was a crazy rule set; I like how they did it… They did one round [of] Muay Thai; One round, MMA. And obviously, all ‘Mighty Mouse’ had to do was get through the first round. Essentially, and then he took him down, quick; he got his back.”

As Joe Rogan pointed out, Demetrious Johnson had a tough Round 1

Demetrious Johnson got the rear-naked choke in the second round, which was contested under the MMA rule set.

However, Rodtang Jitmuangnon had some significant moments in the initial period of the first round, where he backed the 12-time MMA world champion against the Circle Wall. Johnson, though, kept his composure and got through the hard-fought Muay Thai round to have the opportunity to get the Thai fighter in his realm.

Johnson didn’t have a smooth sail to the ONE Championship gold. Though he won the ONE Flyweight Grand Prix, he had to overcome adversity in all of his bouts. The tournament win earned Johnson a meeting with the flyweight king, Adriano Moraes.

The Brazilian champion shocked the world with his dominant performance against the MMA GOAT when he handed Johnson his first defeat in ONE Championship. The defeat on ONE on TNT 1 was also ‘Mighty Mouse’s first knockout loss in his entire professional MMA career.
