Stamp Fairtex walking without crutches—Is she the most inspiring fighter in ONE Championship right now?

Stamp Fairtex suffered one of the biggest blows of her career when she had to pull out of her fight at ONE 167 because of an injury. The Thai megastar was scheduled to defend her ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Title against her former training partner, Denice Zamboanga. However, Stamp injured her meniscus during training and had to undergo surgery to help her recover. 

It now seems the three-sport World Champion is on her road to recovery and shared an update for the fans. She took to her Instagram to share a video with the fans with the caption, “Week 7 update. First time walking without the crutches. I can only take a few steps before I need to rest again. Getting a little stronger every day. Thank you for your support.” Fans took notice of the video and shared their messages for the champion.

After pulling out of her fight, Stamp Fairtex was considerably disappointed and even cried. While she was reluctant to get operated on in the first place, doctors eventually convinced her to get under the knife. After getting operated on May 20, Stamp began her journey towards recovery. Her latest post comes when most of her fans are worried about her fitness. It seems the 26-year-old is slowly and gradually working her way back to full fitness.

In the video, Stamp can be seen walking on her own without the help of any crutches. Her video has caught the attention of the fans and they have shared their message with the champ. One fan congratulated her on her recovery and commented, “Great to see you in your feet again – unassisted! Keep at it Champ!!”

Stamp is one of the most entertaining fighters in the division and one user wants to see her back in action again, “Cant wait to see the champ back in the ring you got this”. Recovering from knee injuries is always a tough ask and one user prayed for the champ, “Stay strong”. One of her fans also wished her a speedy recovery and commented, “Way to go, champ!”

Stamp is currently on her way to recovery and is slowly but surely getting back to full fitness. The 26-year-old missed her clash at ONE 167 but is scheduled to feature at the upcoming ONE 168 event.

Can Stamp recover in time for her next clash at ONE 168? 

26-year-old Stamp Fairtex suffered a massive setback before her ONE 167 clash. She lost the opportunity to defend her title for the first time because of a serious injury. However, she is now set to feature in the upcoming ONE 168 event on September 6. Stamp is currently on her road to recovery and is slowly and steadily getting back to full fitness.

Her next opponent is Xiong Jing Nan, who will defend her ONE Women’s Strawweight MMA world title in a champion vs. champion bout. However, one of the biggest questions is can she recover on time? The event is scheduled to take place in September, which leaves her with two months’ time. Stamp is showing signs of improvement and keeping the fans posted about her recovery.

In just seven weeks, the champion has started walking on her own, which is a positive sign for her. But it all comes down to whether she can return to full fitness to take on Xiong at ONE: 168. With the support staff she has, it seems the current champion might just be able to surprise everyone with her recovery.
