Perfect Dark to Feature in Third Person Perspective?

Perfect Dark is a first-person shooter that came into existence in 2000. The game is cited as one of the greatest video games of all time.

However, the game has been dormant for over a decade now. The last title came out in 2005 for Xbox 360, Perfect Dark Zero.

The rumor mill has been working over-time as far as this title is concerned. Whispers of a reboot of the game making its way to the stores have left fans in a tizzy, thirsting for this timeless classic.

However, a 10-year-long wait has left fans numb to any sort of development with respect to this title. Therefore, it is easy for the fans to write these rumors off as conjecture until a credible source promulgates it.

Are the rumors true?

“I don’t know if Perfect Dark is something that Microsoft would wanna spend potentially hundreds of millions of dollars on it feels like a really risky gamble,” said Andrea on the Kinda Funny Games Daily Show.

There are a lot of games that are being revamped to be released sometime this year, or probably in the subsequent years. Phil Spencer’s Tweet in a way confirmed that a reboot of Perfect Dark might be around the corner.

He says small studios are doing old things in new ways. From what it looks like, it’s hitting towards Perfect Dark. And the possibility of rolling out from a third-person perspective.

“I see old things in new ways, and I think more about game design vs actual IP. I don’t know if Perfect Dark is something Microsoft would potentially spend hundreds of millions of dollars on, it feels like a risky gamble.”

Is Perfect Dark the game The Initiative has been working on?

This news has got the fanbase very excited. If it is what we think it is, then we have to be pretty vigilant this year.

If a reboot version does make its way out into the fold, it might have some enhanced features. It’s been 15 years since the last title came out. A lot has changed since then, and the devs certainly know what the fans are thirsting for.
