The fans out there were fired up looking at McIlroy’s game, and the 32-year-old secured his first tour title in over 550 days. So how much prize money did McIlroy win with his latest triumph?

Due to the champion status, Rory McIlroy received the highest payout at the Wells Fargo Championship. He took home a massive 18% share from the $8.1 million prize purse along with 500 valuable FedExCup Points. 

To be precise, Rory McIlroy won $1.458 million in prize money for his heroics at Quail Hollow Club. He is indeed deserving of the accolades, as the 32-year-old’s worked incredibly hard to get back to winning ways on the tour.

McIlroy’s career earnings update on the PGA Tour

Rory McIlroy won his third Wells Fargo Championship and his 19th tour title overall at the Quail Hollow Club on Sunday. The champion’s seven-figure payout massively boosted the Northern Irishman’s career earnings on the PGA Tour. 

Right now, Rory McIlroy has earned a total of $56,368,517 on the PGA Tour. It includes all the prize money of all the events he won in his career, and the latest victory has helped him gain strides on the all-time list.

McIlroy was eighth on the PGA Tour’s all-time career earnings list before the Wells Fargo Championship, but he’s now sixth. The 32-year-old overtook Justin Rose and Adam Scott with his terrific victory at the Wells Fargo Championship.
