‘Not Going Away’ – Cameron Smith Breaks the Promise He Made to His Girlfriend

Cameron Smith is the new star of the PGA Tour. The Australian golfer has been showcasing his talent with tremendous consistency. Besides his game, fans are way too crazy about the old-school mullet Smith has been growing. However, the 27-year-old is now in the soup for breaking a deal he made with his girlfriend. 

Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman stole the show at Zurich Classic 2021. The duo triumphed over other teams and won the tournament in spectacular fashion. Besides that, Smith and Leishman also garnered massive attention due to their walk-up music antics! 

The duo hyped up fans by getting introduced on the tee with the “mullet song” playing in the background. Leishman made it more authentic by fitting a fake mullet, but Smith just showed off his natural hairdo.

Cameron Smith and his mullet have been the talk of the town for quite some time now. His vintage hairstyle has been receiving all the attention, but the 27-year-old struck a deal with his girlfriend to cut it off if he won the Zurich Classic.

Fans are now torn between Cameron Smith’s decision. Smith mentioned that he was going to cut off his mullet after the Zurich Classic victory, but did not find the urge to do it. While his girlfriend might be mad at him for breaking the promise, Smith explained the reason behind his intentions: 

“I would have to apologize to my girlfriend, it’s not going away. I mean, it’s, I feel like it’s part of me now,” Smith mentioned.

Smith’s teammate Marc Leishman uttered that the mullet has got a “cult following” now. Fans are absolutely in love with the epic hairdo. Smith couldn’t help but resonate with the statement.

“Yeah, it’s really cool. It gives the fans something to get behind. Lots of people love it and it’s good fun as well. It makes people laugh. I love it,” Smith added.

Smith’s fans will be rejoicing, and his girlfriend reacted to it as well! But one this is for sure: The mullet is here to stay! It seems to be Smith’s lucky charm, and the three-time PGA Tour winner wants to extend his good run of form on the tour.
