The entire golf world has taken to waiting for one event – the Ryder Cup. Taking place at the Whistling Straits in Wisconsin, the tournament is a clash between Team Europe and Team USA. European fans are pumped after their recent victory at the Solheim Cup, while Team USA supporters are looking forward to how Steve Stricker’s team plays. However, Team USA’s complete roster was revealed ahead of the BMW PGA Championship, while everyone still waits to look at the complete European roster.

With team USA, six players qualify, while the other six are chosen by captain Stricker. This time, he picked – Daniel Berger, Harris English, Tony Finau, Xander Schauffele, Scottie Scheffler, and Jordan Spieth. A talented group of people, fans had a lot to say about the team and how well they might perform.  Some suggested some other picks, wondering if another roster might be better suited for the Wisconsin course.

As with most things on the internet, Stricker’s picks also sparked all sorts of debates in the comments section. “Feeling REAL good about this,” one wrote, others agreeing. Twenty-first on the Official World Golf Ranking list, Scheffler is now the lowest-ranked member to make it to the team. Another wrote, “Good picks, can’t wait for the matches to start”. A few looked excited about the Spieth-Finau duo, discussing how fun they might play as a team.

A few thought the team was actually predictable, expecting him to pick Finau and Spieth following their performances this season.

Others were a sort of mixed response, fans not hating the picks, but wondering if they could maybe do better. Avid followers wondered if the team needed a long-hitter, someone who could do better at holding the team together. “I don’t hate the picks. But the course definitely calls for longer hitters”.
