As per Fortnite’s various teasers, the player’s job would be this time around to reforge the deteriorating reality of the Island. Popular YouTuber SypherPK says that the “Fracture” referenced in this event’s name is actually visible in the teaser image of the event itself. The tornado and everything breaking apart and flying away represent the said Fracture.

Herald might be calling numerous more chrome tornadoes during the Fracture event

SypherPK says that maybe it’s the Herald, who would cause said Fracture by calling in numerous tornadoes. And then even try and take over or destroy the Zero point. The blog post that accompanies the teaser image of the Fracture event also mentions an emote that players would be receiving for completing this event.

The blog also calls this event an otherworldly and unexpected social event. Everyone has been noticing lately that last season and this new teaser for the event are giving some space vibes. It seems like players would be heading into space this time around.

The longest event in the history of Fortnite that would blast us into space!

The most self-explanatory hint that players have gotten about this chapter’s relation to space is its code name “Asteria” which means “of the stars” in Greek. Another noticeable thing about this event is that this is the first Fortnite event ever to allow players to join in progress. The longest event ever and first ever event with join in-progress option.

According to a leaked playlist, this event would feature numerous activities, Basketball, Soccer, Snowpile, Fishing, and even an NPC that can give you quests. So the players are wondering that maybe, this stuff is not something that would happen before the event, but something that players can do after. While they are being blasted through space to a new reality.

It just means that this might be the first time that players would be able to play during the downtime. And they would be able to see the playground change after the events and just explore it themselves. And maybe this post-event stuff is why this new event would be 40 minutes long.

The biggest speculation SypherPK has made is that maybe, this time around, Epic Games wants its player base to decide what the map would look like. And that is why they are allowing players to join in progress too.

Maybe we would be selecting what part of the maps would go with us to the space or maybe to Reality 153. This is the reality that we would be after we have reforged it from the remnants of our previous playground.

The players are very excited about this particular thing. According to some, being able to create their own map would be something really unthinkable.
