Now that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X have rolled out, all the attention has shifted to new games. Both Sony and Microsoft are aware of this transition and are doing their best to deliver regular updates.
PS5 has had a good start to the console war and came out with several titles of unique genres. Microsoft, on the other hand, has had a rather tough time. Several issues followed the launch of Xbox Series S/X, which caused a stain on Microsoft’s claim that its new console is the ‘most powerful’ ever.
There has been yet another update on PlayStation’s front. Unsurprisingly, the update revolves around upcoming titles and details around their exclusivity periods.
A new montage from Sony provides detail on the exclusivity period of titles like Deathloop, Ghostwire Tokyo, Gran Turismo 7, and more.
The entire community is waiting for the newest addition in the Gran Turismo franchise. The new titles will be a true Ps5 exclusive. It was penciled for an early 2021 window of release, but a new update suggests that it might take longer than expected.
Sony is yet to make it official, but an update suggests that it is still under development. This essentially means that Sony might not release it in the first half of 2021, as expected.
Deathloop, on the other hand, will only be a PS5 exclusive for a year after its release date and will be available on PC at launch.
Ghostwire Tokyo will have a similar deal as Deathloop. Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda worried several PlayStation patrons. There were doubts around the release of Ghostwire, which left the fans disillusioned.
But Phil Spencer soon cleared the air and revealed that Bethesda will honor all its previous arrangements. Project Athia is another title that will be available on PC at launch but will be a PS5 exclusive until two years after its release.
