Rafael Nadal: “I Never Eat Cheese in All My Life”

World No.2 Rafael Nadal, who claimed his 19th Grand Slam title at the US Open 2019 on Sunday revealed in an interview that he is not a fan of cheese. The Spaniard also explained that he has to eat healthy in order to be the best he can be.

According to reports, the 33-year-old does not like to eat fish or meat. Talking about his diet, Rafael Nadal said, “I don’t eat cheese. I never eat cheese in all my life. I don’t like (smiling).”

However, the Mallorcan, who is also an off-season fisherman suggested that he does not have anything against meat and doesn’t mind eating it but he really enjoys to eat fish.

He explained, “The meat, I eat meat when I want to eat meat. I have nothing against the meat. I prefer fish. That’s all. No, but I don’t have big problems with diet. I eat what I want to eat. And of course, the diet is important for life and to stay healthy.”

He further continued, “But for me personally, I try to do — I think I improved during all these years in this thing, but let’s say is not the part of my work that I’m more professional.”

The 19-time Grand Slam champion revealed that he has a normal diet as he just tries to eat more or less healthy. “I have a very normal diet. No, nothing really special. Just trying to eat more or less healthy, especially when I am on the tour. But when I am on holidays, when I am at home, I really eat what normal,” the world No.2 added.

Earlier, world No.1 Novak Djokovic had also revealed about his gluten-free diet. Additionally, Roger Federer and Coco Gauff talked about their diet – as they revealed that they like to eat pasta.
