Rajai Davis Ran into Joe West which Immediately became Hilarious

New York Mets outfielder Rajai Davis had a moment in the match against Philadelphia Phillies when he ran into the umpire Joe West, that turned out to be an extremely hilarious sight.
It was during the eighth inning when Jeff McNeil hit a grounder to the first base. Davis, in an attempt to score, tried to slide around Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto. It was with his desperate dive that he ran into the umpire Joe West behind the plate. It turned into an embarrassing moment when Joe West fell on the diving Phillies outfielder, bringing an extremely amusing expression out of Davis.
The 38-year old, who might have thought he had experienced it all in his 13-year professional baseball career that saw him play for seven different MLB clubs, had a completely different feeling with the weight of a 66-year old umpire on him.

66-year old West could not help himself onto his feet even after putting his weight on Davis. Eventually, Phillies pitcher Hector Neris had to help him back to his feet. Then, West was able to make the official call at the plate.

Even without the funny incident, the match Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets was an entertaining one. The latest battle of the Broads lived upto its expectations.
It was after the incident that the match was heading to a dramatic finish. A wild pitch to Alonso enabled the Mets to score standing, which ended the seventh inning at a 2-2 tie.
In the eight innings Scott Kingery’s hit to the left centre field provided the Phillies a 5-2 lead, and the match eventually ended with the same scoreline.
