After the 2013 Formula One season, the time had come to bid farewell to the V8 engines. For the 2014 season, the teams would be shifting to V6 turbo engines. So, what the championship-winning Red Bull team decided was to go out in true F1 fashion. Sebastian Vettel, Mark Webber and Christian Horner stood aside as the RB9 revved its engine.

To be perfectly honest, witnessing the screaming V8 being pushed to the limit is therapeutic for any F1 fan. In addition to that, seeing the engine glowing red hot is absolutely incredible.

It truly was the end of an era and the Red Bull team did a fantastic job at giving a send off F1 style. Sadly for the Austrian marquee, their reign at the top ended in 2013 itself. Instead, it was the Mercedes team who dominated the proceedings since then. Red Bull and Ferrari both fell by the wayside but have now slowly begun to catch up.

Fast-forward to 2018, Lewis Hamilton romped to his 5th title and the season isn’t over yet. Red Bull will be hoping to pose a major threat to the Silver Arrows and the Prancing Horse in 2019. They will be fielding Max Verstappen and Toro Rosso graduate, Pierre Gasly next season.
