On Monday, there was a charity football match held in Kosovo, led by Arsenal player Granit Xhaka and Werder Bremen player Milot Rashica. The two players were captaining the respective sides for this match. However, both teams proved that charity game or no, they were giving it their all. This was evident when an impromptu shoving match seemingly took place and the referee intervened.

It was at that point that the referee decided to have some fun at the players expense. He blew his whistle and reached into his back pocket, seemingly for a card. But then, he cheekily pulled out a handkerchief to wipe his sweaty face, much to everyone’s amusement.

The match took place at 8pm local time in honour of the 20th anniversary of Kosovo’s capital, Prishtina attaining freedom. For Monday’s match, the venue was the Fadil Vokrii stadium in the capital.

Also, during the same match, a fan ran onto the football pitch to kiss Xhaka’s foot. Xhaka and some of his Swiss teammates have often been in the news for their celebrations supporting their birth countries, Kosovo, Albania and other such countries. In fact, Xhaka and Liverpool player Xherdan Shaqiri usually celebrated a goal by crossing their hands to show an eagle, something they have often got into trouble for it.
