The new Call of Duty is almost here and fans are excited. Black Ops Cold War is touted to feature some big changes. However, Tom Henderson believes otherwise. In fact, months of major leaks almost point to the same.

Dexb0t of Karnage Clan hopes to see some changes that most of the community would agree on. He wishes to see Treyarch reduce the Skill Based Matchmaking (SBMM), bring back 3 lane maps and the traditional mini-map, alongside zombies and more.

SBMM might not see a change in the new Call of Duty title

Tom Henderson replied to his tweet, crushing his major wish. He tweeted that the SBMM in Black Ops Cold War will be exactly the same as the Call of Duty Modern Warfare, as they will have the same system.

Warzone, Call of Duty’s battle royale mode, is expected to connect Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War. The developers are yet to confirm that, but if the leaks are anything to go by, we might get to hear the official news soon.

Players and streamers, over time, have requested for a change in SBMM. However, if the system is the same, then it is unlikely to happen.

Henderson also tweeted saying the Zombies reveal will only come at a later date.

It remains unclear as to how Warzone will connect the two games but Henderson gave us an idea. He tweeted that weapons will be added periodically in Cold War, through the battle pass and updates.

Verdansk might also be replaced by a new map. However, the weapons and vehicles from Modern Warfare will remain.

Henderson also expects to see both multiplayer and campaign mode in the reveal on August 26th. The new map that could possibly replace Verdansk might be showcased as well.

Teaser trailer – a letdown?

Prior to the official teaser, many leaks made their way around the internet. Activision tried making the news interesting by dropping off mysterious boxes to some big personalities in the gaming community. Those boxes led to clues and finally redirected them to a website with the teaser.

However, everything that was showcased was already known thanks to the leaks. naturally, the community was disappointed, leading many to even question why the trailer was released in the first place.

The new title’s teaser trailer did not have much in store. There was no in-game footage but it did give us a hint of what’s coming this year.

The plot will probably focus on Perseus, an individual who was tasked with the objective to infiltrate the US government.

Yesterday, the developers announced that the game’s reveal would come on August 26th, which has reduced some of the discontentment amongst fans. The poster had an American soldier on one side and a Soviet soldier on the other.
