Roger Federer Lifts His Title Number 101 At Miami Open 2019

The ultimate wizard of the sport of tennis, Roger Federer embarked upon his journey to collect his 101st ATP title and settle for his last week’s loss in the American city of Indian Wells. The World Number five Swiss took on the defending champion of the Miami Open, John Isner on the Hard Rock Stadium in the battle of the 30-year-olds. The Swiss pulled off this 28th Masters 1000 title by knocking down Isner 6-1, 6-4 in the championship match and becomes the only man in 2019 to win multiple ATP titles.  

The impeccable American in the Miami expedition, Isner conceded a record of collecting 12 straight sets in the Masters event of his home country. However, the phenomenal player of the sport, Roger Federer snapped John’s illustrious streak in the first set. The Swiss opened the set by breaking the American giant and later with his paranormal groundstrokes consolidated his break as he held his serve to love at 3-1.

The stranded American was couldn’t outplay the Swiss, Roger Federer on his home soil as he swiftly broke Isner consecutively. The three-time Miami champion pulled off his 12th successive point on his serve stretched his lead to 5-1. He dismantled in the 33-year-old, Isner by breaking him for the third time and laid off the set 6-1 and diminished the gap between him and his 101st crown by one set.

In a blink of an eye, Roger Federer grabbed the opening game of the second set.
