Sachin Tendulkar bowled one of the greatest last over in ODI history

Sachin Tendulkar, a living legend and arguably the best batsman in the history of cricket.Apart from his staggering records of runs that he scored he has bowled remarkably well in ODI cricket too.One such event was his final over during the Semi Finals of Hero Cup between India and South Africa.Sachin who didn’t contributed much with the bat in a low scoring game but bowled one of the finest over to seal the victory for india at Eden Gardens.

November 24, 1993 was a different day. India fold up for 195 batting first – an innings which was largely boosted by skipper Mohammad Azharuddin’s knock of 90. Manoj Prabhakar, Vinod Kambli and Ajay Jadeja were gone by the time the score was 18. And with the score on 53, Sachin Tendulkar also fell.
In a nail biting match South Africans required 5 runs to win in the last over. South Africa was clearly favorites and many Indian fans started leaving their seats and were going home. But then Azharuddin gave the bowl to 20 year old   Tendulkar who bowled the decisive 50th over of the innings with the score 190 for eight.

Sachin gets the breakthrough from his first delivery and it was 190-9. South Africa needed 5 runs to win and they had only one wicket left.It’s the last ball and South Africa are192 for nine — four runs to win. Blofeld points out, if South Africa don’t lose a wicket, they need just three to win because of losing fewer wickets. Tendulkar is furiously rearranging the field. But Sachin had other plans. In the last bowl South Africa only managed a single.
