Sachin Tendulkar says Sarah & Arjun Tendulkar do not Use Twitter; Demands Action against Fake Accounts

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, on Wednesday, came out to clarify the social presence of his children Sarah Tendulkar and Arjun Tendulkar. Sachin confirmed that neither of his children use twitter and also alleged a twitter handle “jr_tendulkar” of wrongly impersonating his son Arjun, and posting “malicious” tweets.

“I wish to clarify that my son Arjun & daughter Sara are not on Twitter. The account @jr_tendulkar is wrongfully impersonating Arjun and posting malicious tweets against personalities & institutions. Requesting @TwitterIndia to act on this as soon as possible,” a tweet from the official twitter handle of Sachin Tendulkar posted at around 1:30 PM on Wednesday read.

The handle “jr_tendulkar” mentioned in the tweet had a description that read: “Official . Left Arm Medium Pacer . Son of God.” The handle had come into existence only in 2018, according to Twitter.

Arjun Tendulkar is a left-arm pacer, who has played age group cricket for Mumbai. Very recently, he also played for India at the U-19 level. He played an U-19 Test match for India against Sri Lanka.

In September this year, Arjun turned 20. Just before turning 20, Arjun played for the Marylebone Cricket Club Young Cricketers in the Second Eleven Championship in England.

Sara Tendulkar, Sachin’s  daughter is two years older to Arjun, having born on October 12, 1997. There have been a few accounts by the names of Arjun and Sarah Tendulkar.

Sachin’s plea to take action against one such account was quickly responded by Twitter. Hardly a few hours after his tweet, the account jr_tendulkar, that was mentioned in Sachin’s tweet was suspended.
