Ever since he made his Formula One debut, Sebastian Vettel has always named his cars. This tradition started back in 2008 when he made his full debut with Toro Rosso. His first car, the Toro Rosso STR3 was named ‘Julie’.

2009’s Red Bull RB5 was fondly called Kate, and sometimes, Kate’s Dirty Sister. In 2010, the championship-winning Red Bull RB6 also had two names, Luscious Liz and Randy Mandy. A year later, the RB7 rolled out and the German got even more creative with his names, this time it was Kinky Kylie. 2012’s beast, the RB8 was dubbed Abbey followed by 2013’s Hungry Heidi and 2014’s Suzie.

Then began his Ferrari days and his cars were nicknamed, Eva (2015), Margherita (2016), Gina (2017) and Loria (2018).

Now, the 2019 Ferrari, the SF90, was launched earlier this year and it already looks fast off the blocks. Now Vettel has already come up with a new name for his 2019 challenger, ‘Lean Lina’. He revealed the name when speaking to former teammate Mark Webber.

The Australian GP is about to start soon and kick off the 2019 season. Scuderia Ferrari have already laid down the gauntlet and will be eager to break Mercedes’ stranglehold.
