During the practice session of the Chinese GP there was a big scare for Toro Rosso driver Alexander Albon. When he came into the weighing bridge, his car’s brakes suddenly caught fire. It was at that moment that everyone’s respect for Sebastian Vettel increased tenfold.

Sebastian Vettel radioed his team and asked his Ferrari mechanics if it would be possible to help cool Albon’s car down. It is not unusual to see teams helping each other out. Since Albon was stopped at the weigh bridge, there were no Toro Rosso mechanics on hand to cool the car. Vettel noticed the smoke coming out of the brakes and asked his mechanics to help him.

In all honesty, say what you will about Sebastian Vettel and his driving, the man has a big heart. He has always been humble and a true sportsman. In practice, Vettel topped FP1 and finished 2nd in FP2 behind Valtteri Bottas.
