Rajasthan Royals will again be a part of IPL in the next season. Rajasthan Royals’ two-years suspension ends on July 14 and the franchise has already begun preparing for next season. Reports are suggesting that Rajasthan Royals management has contacted former captain Shane Warne, who led them to their maiden title win in the inaugural season.

As we know, on July 15, 2015, two well-known franchises of IPL, Chennai Super Kings, and Rajasthan Royals, were suspended from the IPL for two years after their key officials were found guilty of illegal betting in a probe conducted by a Supreme Court panel. They also suspended Royals co-owner Raj Kundra and Gurunath Meiyappan of CSK from all cricket-related activities for life. “Disrepute has been brought to cricket, the BCCI, and the IPL to such an extent that there are doubts abound in the public whether the game is clean or not,” said former chief justice RM Lodha, who headed the panel.

Now that Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings are all set to rejoin the IPL again they would wish to make this a good season. Two years ago Dravid was the coach of Rajasthan Royals. Dravid, who was a mentor for Delhi Daredevils for the last two years, was given a contract extension for two years for managing India U-19 and India-A by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). “Over the last two years, Rahul Dravid has been instrumental in getting young talent into the mix who have proved their worth on the big stage,” the BCCI Acting President, CK Khanna said.

Due to this reason, Rahul Dravid decided to part ways with the Indian Premier League (IPL). Seeing the new contract Rajasthan Royals has started looking for new options and one of these options is Shane Warne. However, there is no official word on the talks between Warne and Royals management yet.
