Shikhar Dhawan Turns 34 Today, Wishes Pour In For Him

The flamboyant India opener Shikhar Dhawan celebrates his 34th birthday today. Having made his ODI debut in 2010, Dhawan became the fastest Indian Batsman to reach the 2000 and 3000 runs mark in ODIs. He is currently placed at eighth on the all-time list of the highest run-getters in the Under-19 World Cup. Dhawan has scored 2315 Test runs, 5518 runs in ODIs and 1504 runs in the T20I format of the game. He holds an average of 44.50 in the ODIs and has proved to be a key player for India.

After having started the ICC World Cup with flying colours in July, he got injured at the mid-way. However, Shikhar Dhawan has been included in the next limited-overs series against the with the West Indies, which will begin from Friday. India will take on the West Indies for the three-match Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and as many One-Day Internationals (ODIs) series as well.

However, on this special day, not only fans in huge numbers but also his teammates and others have poured in their good wishes on social media. His Indian teammates took to Twitter and tweeted the cricketer a very Happy Birthday which included the players like Suresh Raina, Hardik Pandya, Harbhajan Singh etc.
