Cristiano Ronaldo has joined Striker Inc.’s alpha project, UFL, as a key investor. This is an interesting proposition for the player, as gamers around the world have been waiting for a decent alternative to EA’s FIFA franchise, and now EAFC. With the game set to launch in the coming months, it could succeed in addressing what has largely been ignored by a vast section of the soccer eSports community.

Fans around the world are eagerly awaiting UFL’s release following its trailer launch back in 2021. The game has been in development for the last seven years and is currently in its alpha testing phase. Strikerz Inc., the developer behind the game, is planning to release a closed build for testers in the coming months.

Despite EA’s flagship title FC24 dominating the market, there has been a lot of excitement surrounding UFL. The game creators announced that the title will be a completely free-to-play skill-based game. They have also promised users that the game will revolutionize the online gaming space, which is a big statement. For years, players have had to spend big money on EA’s FIFA and Konami’s eFootball to purchase the best players in the game to bolster their teams.

Soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo is more than likely to star as the cover athlete for the game, following his addition to the core investment group.
