Piers Morgan, the British broadcaster who is currently working at TalkTV, is famous for his Piers Morgan Uncensored program. The program sparked controversy last year when he interviewed Cristiano Ronaldo before the Qatar FIFA World Cup. The explosive interview stirred Manchester United, resulting in the mutual contract termination of the player. Recently, Morgan heaped praise on NBA legend Michael Jordan. 

The British broadcaster who worked at famous media houses like Daily Mail, CNN, and The Sun shared a story on his Instagram praising Chicago Bulls great, who had a legendary NBA career and is an inspiration to many athletes.

Piers Morgan praises Michael Jordan

One of the Instagram handles posted a reel of Jordan talking about what it takes to be successful. NBA great said how he missed 900 shots and lost 300 games in his career. He also told how he missed a game-winning shot on 26 occasions but failed, and failed over and over again to taste success in life.  

The 57-year-old broadcaster shared an Instagram story tagging the reel where Jordan shared what it takes to succeed. Morgan captioned it, “How to be a GOAT.” However, it was not the first time a British journalist praised the NBA great. 

Back in 2020, Morgan expressed his admiration of the Charlotte Hornets owner while replying to a tweet with a small video clip of Jordan. The former Daily Mail editor said, “This is the greatest two minutes of advice anyone could ever watch if they want to understand what it takes to be a champion like Michael Jordan. Incredible,” replying to a tweet.

Notably, Morgan even changed his stance on Naomi Osaka when she revealed she drew inspiration from Michael Jordan. Earlier, Morgan slammed the tennis sensation for her break from tennis. However, the moment Osaka shared her inspiration was Jordan to continue during a game when she was injured, Morgan praised the tennis star. Osaka drew her inspiration from NBA great playing and scoring 38 points despite suffering from food poisoning in an NBA final 5 in 1997 against Utah Jazz.

Morgan shook the soccer world when he interviewed the Portuguese in his program Piers Morgan Uncensored. The explosive interview was totally around Cristiano Ronaldo and his second stint at Manchester United.

Ronaldo went on to slam the club for not showing any ambition since Sir Alex Ferguson left. He also criticized United manager Erik Ten Haag and his former teammate Wayne Rooney during the interview along with the owners. Such were the repercussions of the interview that the club terminated their contract with the Portuguese before the World Cup.
