A Jar of Jam Led to Shakira Figuring Out Gerard Pique Was Cheating Before Messy Split – Here’s How

Shakira might be a world-renowned singer, but it turns out she also has some pretty impressive detective skills. The Columbian singer recently revealed how she figured out that her then-partner, Gerard Pique, was cheating on her. And it all started with a jar of jam.

It’s no secret that the breakup between Shakira and Gerard Piqué was pretty messy. The power couple ended things in June 2022 after it was revealed that Piqué had been cheating on Shakira with 23-year-old Clara Chia.

Since then, the case has been full of controversies from having been locked in a bitter custody battle. And recently Shakira even released a diss track ‘Shakira Bzrp Music Sessions 53,’ targeting Pique and his new partner. And the latest revelation in the case might just be the silliest of them all.

A jar of jam helped Shakira

According to a recent report, it was a jar of jam that led Shakira to figure out that Pique was cheating on her. Here’s how the story goes: Shakira had been away on a work trip and came home to find a jar of jam that had been licked clean.

Shakira deduced Piqué was cheating on her after she returned from traveling to find that her strawberry jam was eaten.

She asked her sons if they had eaten it, but they both said no. Shakira then confronted Piqué about the jam, but he claimed he hadn’t eaten it either. And the fact that Piqué doesn’t even like jam was what tipped Shakira off. This led to her finding out about his affair with Chia.

The first hint of this ‘jar’ incident came from a song by the Colombian singer ‘Te Felecito’. In the music video, the star can be seen opening a fridge. And later in an interview, when asked about the fridge scene, the Colombian singer replied “To find the truth!”.
