Margot Robbie is under the spotlight following the release of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. The movie, which also stars Ryan Gosling, has done a sensational job at the box office despite receiving tough competition from Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. While Robbie is a well-known celebrity, one lesser known fact about her is that she is also a fan of the Premier League side Fulham.

Ahead of the upcoming Premier League season, Fulham released their away kit for their campaign, which has caught the attention of many. The kit’s color seems like an homage to Robbie’s latest release on the big screen and the colors are surely something that do not seem like a coincidence.

Following the release of Barbie, celebrities and fans have been donning pink, and it seems like Fulham has chosen the right moment to ride the trend. The club, worth nearly $260,000,000, posted a series of images on their Instagram handle to introduce fans to their new away kit for the season. The kit is doused in pink with black borders and is likely to be used in games against opposition playing in white or a lighter color.

Margot Robbie has been an occasional visitor to the Craven Cottage, home of the Lilywhites, to cheer for her favorite team. In an interview with BBC in 2018, the actress talked about her love for the club as her husband, Tom Ackerley, is also a Fulham fan, and the duo watch the team’s games together.

Despite clashing against Christopher Nolan’s magnum opus, Margot Robbie’s Barbie has outshined the movie when it comes to box-office collections. The movie has already surpassed the $775 million and looks close to crossing the $1 billion mark.

Only Super Mario Bros has been able to pass the $1 billion mark this year, and if Barbie continues to walk the current popularity wave, the movie could become the second movie this year to do so.
