After Kylian Mbappe Ditched 10-Year $1 Billion PSG Deal, 6 Teammates on Verge of Getting Shipped off by French Giants

The Kylian Mbappe transfer saga sees no end in sight. The Frenchman has been in talks about being signed by multiple clubs in this transfer window. With PSG offering $1 billion to convince him to stay, the striker has other plans. After his snub, six PSG teammates are likely to be shown the exit door.

Even though his dream move to Real Madrid did not happen, Kylian Mbappe remains the hot topic of the 2023 summer window. Paris Saint Germain left no stone unturned in their efforts to persuade the forward to stay, including banishing him from training. Despite their reluctance to sell Mbbape in this transfer window, they are looking to cash in on some other stars.

Marco Verratti: The Italian midfielder no longer fits into the club’s plans. Several options have emerged as the transfer market deadline approaches, and it seems Verratti is closing in on a move to Qatar. Al-Arabi appears to be in agreement with PSG, who have set a starting price of $48 million for the player this summer. Whether Verratti ends up in Qatar or elsewhere remains to be seen. The Saudi club Al-Hilal is also offering him a tempting 3-year contract with an annual salary of 56 million dollars.

Julian Draxler: Paris also desires to part ways with Julian Draxler and his hefty salary. Crystal Palace expresses interest in the German midfielder among the few clubs. However, Georginio Wijnaldum has volunteered to terminate his contract in the capital. The Parisians also aim to boost their finances by selling striker Hugo Ekitike.

Hugo Ekitike: Ekitike arrived just a year ago and is now being pushed towards the exit. Paris had initially hoped to include him in the Randal Kolo Muani deal. However, Ekitike chose not to let anyone use him as a bargaining chip and preferred that his transfer remain separate. AC Milan, West Ham, and several other clubs have shown interest in Ekitike, and he is carefully weighing his options.

At the same time, Juan Bernat is also considering a move to Turkey. Another player in the mix is Keylor Navas, who was previously at Nottingham Forest on loan, hasn’t attracted much attention in the market.

PSG made an incredible offer to Mbappe, a 10-year contract worth a staggering $1 billion. This would tie Mbappe to the club until age 34 and essentially operate as a lifetime deal. It would also be the most lucrative sports contract in history.

Mbappe seems to be driven by his dream of playing for Real Madrid and winning every possible trophy. Despite PSG’s tempting offer, he has informed the club that he does not intend to sign a new deal and plans to leave on a free transfer next summer. PSG, in turn, has delivered an ultimatum to Mbappe – sign a new contract or be sold this summer.

Mbappe has achieved legendary status in France, scoring 212 goals in 260 games and registering 98 assists. While he has won the World Cup with France in 2018, the elusive Champions League title has eluded him thus far.
