While Messi has dismissed the idea of coaching, he hasn’t closed the doors on his return to his home, Barcelona. According to a famous insider and journalist, Guillem Balague, Lionel Messi will return to Barcelona once he finishes his term with David Beckham’s Inter Miami. While speaking with Angus Scott and Ben Jacobs in a podcast, he stated that Messi considers Barcelona his home, and he would accept the role of becoming an advisor or secretary at FC Barcelona.

Balague stated, “Next, once he finishes with Inter Miami, he’ll join Barcelona. The invitation will come from whoever is the chairman at that time. But, when he retires, he would like to be an advisor to the President or Technical Secretary. He can see talent. He has been suggesting talent for a while to Barcelona, and I’m sure Inter Miami as well.”
