Italian striker Mario Balotelli has been a matter of discussion following his recent statements. The player has been allegedly looking for a move to the Saudi Pro League. However, his latest comments might become a roadblock for the player. In a recent interview, the former Inter Milan star eviscerated Al Hilal superstar Neymar‘s technique, calling him “inferior” to a 34-year-old Moroccan star.

Mario has been poor form this season as he has been dropped by his new club despite joining them this season. The player is hoping to keep his career alive with a move to Saudi Arabia, but slamming Neymar does not feel like the right direction to start things.

Mario Balotelli labels Neymar’s technique ‘inferior’

Italian icon Mario Balotelli made a surprising statement this morning. The player, in a podcast interview, talked about some of the best technical soccer players. When Balotelli was asked about Al Hilal superstar Neymar, Balotelli stunned everyone as he claimed that Moroccan star Adel Taarabt was a better technical player than the Brazilian.

“Neymar, who is my friend, I send you a hug. He is a phenomenon… you can’t compare Neymar with Taarabt, of course. But if we JUST talk about TECHNIQUE, Taarabt is better.”

Balotelli’s statement is a big surprise, as Neymar is considered among some of the best technical players of his generation. The new statement does the player no favor as he is looking for a move to the Middle Eastern league and upsetting the faces of the league is no way to kick things off.

Italian star hoping to play in the Saudi Pro League

Mario Balotelli has been struggling to live up to the expectations as of late. While Balotelli peaked in the early stages of his career, the star is now struggling to stay relevant. The Italian striker joined Swiss club FC Sion this season but has failed to make any impact on the team. His performances have been underwhelming at most, with the player scoring just five goals throughout his stint with the club.

Despite joining them this season, the player has been removed from the squad by FC Sion, citing his poor performances and failure to meet the set expectations. Following his exclusion, Balotelli has been hoping to make a move to the Saudi Pro League. However, considering the player’s recent form, it will be surprising to see if any Saudi outfit decides to make a move for him just for his past laurels.
