After Marcus Rashford’s Night Out Debacle, Erling Haaland Told to ‘100% Concentrate’ on Football by Father

Marcus Rashford recently found himself in hot waters after his partying in Belfast saga. He apologized for the mistake and avoided another chaotic controversy at Manchester United like the Jadon Sancho one. Recent incidents have shown the level of constant scrutiny that soccer stars face. Amid these tough times in the media limelight, Alfie Haaland has advised his son Erling to focus on his goal-scoring prowess on the pitch.

There have been several stories in the soccer world where players have been called out for the way they deal with their private life. In the last several weeks, Kyle Walker and Marcus Rashford have been such examples. However, Alfie Haaland is making sure that his son does not face the same problems. In a recent interview with CNN, he said, “What we have said to him is that he should 100% concentrate on the footballing side because it’s many people who want to have a little piece. We are trying to manage that the best we can”. 

“So he is setting new records and goals for himself. It may be a short career of 5, 10 or 15 years. So enjoy it while you can”, Alfie concluded. Erling Haaland will certainly hope that he can continue the goal-scoring form he had before his injury. Besides leading Manchester City to treble again, he will also strive to win the Ballon d’Or this time.

It will be interesting whether Erling Haaland can keep his goal-scoring machine record through the business end of the season. As far as off-the-pitch activities are concerned, the future is looking bright there as well for him.

In an interview several months ago, his agent Rafaela Pimenta predicted a huge future for him. Speaking on the potential of Erling Haaland, she pointed out that the sky is the limit for him. She further added that with all the sponsors, advertisements, and investments, the 22-year-old could earn up to ‘1 billion‘ by the age of 35!

Erling Haaland has also reportedly trademarked his initials after being denied initially. The expectation is that the Manchester City striker could potentially start a clothing line and several other products with the EBH brand.
