The French superstar, Kylian Mbappe was widely expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, but he ultimately decided to stay at PSG and run down his contract. Mbappe’s decision to stay at PSG reportedly left Madrid fans disappointed and cast a shadow on Los Blancos’ expectations. Now, PSG, who is set to lose Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer, is said to be plotting revenge against the 14x UCL champions.

As reported by Sport, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has identified up to five young gems from Real Madrid to bolster PSG’s ranks. At the top of his wish list are the Brazilian sensations, Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo, and the midfielders, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, and Aurelien Tchouameni.

Among the reported targets, Vinicius and Rodrygo are the highest priorities for the French giants. While the Brazilian young duo holds the coveted spots on Real Madrid’s ‘untouchables’ list, PSG will try their best to lure away these talents.

Although PSG have their eyes firmly set on the supremely talented Real Madrid stars, their astronomical release clauses of up to $800 million could be a major financial blockade in their plans.

It is highly unlikely that Madrid would be willing to let go of any of their star players. Also, with the addition of Jude Bellingham in the recent transfer, they’re looking to build for the future.

The future looking bright for Real Madrid

Although Los Blancos possess a well-stocked squad, with veteran midfielders Luka Modric and Toni Kroos entering the twilight of their careers, they’ll not be looking for any prospective sales. Valverde, Tchouameni, Camavinga, and star signing Jude Bellingham offer a young and dynamic midfield ready to pack in the upcoming years.
