Al Hilal attacker’s European affection

After reluctantly playing in England for a few years, the Al Hilal forward opened up about the teams he likes in Soccer. Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic had previously made a bold claim, comparing Al Hilal to Real Madrid in Asia. He has now revealed that he is a fan of Italian club AS Roma, while also reaffirming his commitment to his current club.


The tweet, originally in Spanish, states: “Mitrovic speaks: Play in one day in Serie A? “In life and in football you never know. In the past I was close to going, but now I am happy in Al Hilal and I want to do great things here. But I continue to follow the Italian championship where I support Roma.”

The striker had a successful time in England, but somehow didn’t seem to enjoy the spell there. He finally moved to Riyadh after a $64 million deal.

The forward already mentioned that he is happy at Al Hilal and doesn’t feel any remorse for leaving Britain. He also is feeling pumped to achieve great things at the new club.

Mitrovic wasn’t getting adequate game time at Fulham owing to injuries. But the Serbian prefers to have an Italian connection rather than a British one.

Previous connection with Roma

Mitrovic was the highest scorer for Fulham in the English Football Championship 202-2022 winning the Golden Boot. His earlier year was also fruitful in gaining the eyes of UEFA Champions League-winning manager Jose Mourinho. Mourinho invited Mitrovic to join his new AS Roma project as he was unhappy with the London side.
