After $32 Million Deal, Riyad Mahrez Ready to Spend ‘All’ His Life in Saudi Arabia

Algerian superstar Riyad Mahrez is enjoying his time in the Middle East. The player made a big-money switch to Saudi Pro League Al-Ahli this season. The former Manchester City superstar signed a $32 million deal with the side moving out of England. And now, it seems like Mahrez has adjusted to life in Saudi Arabia. The Algerian star, in an interview, stated that he feels like he’s ready to spend his entire life in the nation.

Mahrez joined Saudi side Al-Ahli this season, linking up with former Premier League rival Roberto Firmino. Following the move to his new side, he made 14 appearances for the club this season. The winger has been highly effective, netting six goals and contributing seven assists. From the high life in Manchester to the high life in the Middle East, Mahrez is living the King’s life!

With time, the player has set up a lot of accolades and now wants to bask in his glory. Mahrez, following his move to Saudi side Al Ahli this summer, has adjusted to life in the Middle East.

According to journalist Saad Al Lazeez, Mahrez is ready to spend his life in Saudi Arabia. Lazeez cited, “After the first three weeks of the championship, Riyad Mahrez spoke to me and said, ‘I imagine myself living in Jeddah and Saudi Arabia all my life now!'”

The player was part of Leicester City’s iconic side that won the Premier League in 2016. He made history the same year, becoming the first Algerian player to win the Premier League. Mahrez, following his success with Leicester, moved to City under Pep Guardiola as the side established its dominance in the league.

Riyad Mahrez has been a crucial addition for Al Ahli this season. The side is currently positioned third on the points table with 26 points to their name in 13 games. Mahrez is on level with Al-Nassr ace Cristiano Ronaldo with seven assists for the most in the competition.
