Spanish court to investigate company owned by Gerard Pique

The Spanish media outlets reported last year that Pique has made millions in commission by moving the Spanish Super Cup tournament to Saudi Arabia. His company Kosmos signed a contract with the Spanish Federation to move the tournament to the gulf nation. The complainant alleged the president of the federation and Pique’s company of obtaining commissions for moving the tourney outside Spain.

The court has already asked the Federation to submit the accounts for 2020 in January this year. Now, as part of further investigation, they want to study the contract signed between Kosmos and Spanish Federation. As a result, they have given the time of ten days to Pique and Kosmos to submit the necessary contract documents to the court. It comes as a significant setback for the former defender.
